Megan Harrah has a 'joyful willingness to serve'

Since moving into her role as Baylor Athletics' Associate Director of Employee Relations a little more than a year ago, Megan Harrah has shown a "joyful willingness to serve that sets her apart."
"It's clear that in everything you do, you do it with excellence and joy," said Adalee Hilgenkamp, Director of Employee Relations. "I love, especially, your willingness to do new things, to do hard things. This past year has proven that you love to learn, you're excited about your job and that you do all things with excellence."
A field hockey player at Randolph-Macon College in Virginia, where she earned a bachelor's degree in communications, Megan originally came to Baylor in July of 2021 as Director of Soccer Operations. But she made a smooth transition to employee relations in March 2022.
"Working with you throughout the years – with soccer my first year here and now having you as a hallway buddy – you always do your best to grow the Baylor brand and really bring a joy to everybody's life throughout the day," said Katy Gilmore, Associate Director of Athletics Communications. "Our tea time, when you come across the hall every afternoon to talk to us, brings a light to my day."
Whenever Hilgenkamp comes to her with an assignment or task at work, "she never pushes back."
"She's always grateful to do the work, wants to learn," Adalee said, "and I can trust that the work that she does is reliable and trustworthy."
In addition to her official duties within the department, Megan also serves on the People Are Our Greatest Asset (PAOGA) Committee, where her light shines the brightest.
"You do such a great job here making everyone feel welcome, right at home," said Chris Istre, Associate AD for Business Operations. "You're always willing to serve and help out when needed. Thank you for everything you do to make this place so special."
Congrats, Megan, on your One Standard, One Accord award for always doing your serviceable and personal best.
