IRVING, Texas – Baylor men's tennis brought home three Big 12 postseason awards amongst two players, the conference office announced Friday.
 
Tadeas Paroulek joins the All-Big 12 first-team singles and pairs up with Zsombor Velcz in first-team doubles. Velcz individually found a spot on the All-Big 12 singles second team.
 
Since the conference split the team honors in 2017 to first and second team, Paroulek is the first Bear to earn first-team honors in both singles and doubles.
 
The junior took his first postseason honor in 2022 as a member of the second-team singles.
 
In singles play, Paroulek tallied a 12-6 record over the spring season and went 1-0 in Big 12 play after defeating Texas Tech's 42^nd-ranked Olle Wallin.
 
Paroulek and Velcz land a spot on the first-team doubles list after a 20-3 season highlighted by a perfect 3-0 Big 12 record. The duo opened conference with a win over the 72^nd-ranked pair of Reed Collier and Dimitrios Azoidis from Texas Tech, before rolling to wins over OU's and OSU's No. 1 doubles team.
 
Velcz lands on the All-Big 12 second team with a 15-6 dual-match record entering the postseason. The freshman took one set from No. 1-ranked Elliot Spizzirri from Texas before the match was clinched and finished 2-1 in conference play. His lone loss was to fellow second-team member, No. 98 Alex Martinez from Oklahoma.
 
The Bears await seeding for the 2023 NCAA National Team Championship. The selection show will be streamed at NCAA.org on Monday evening at 5:30 p.m. CT.
