We Will Commit to Principled Innovation

            Making a smooth transition from student worker to assistant director of video production, Matthew Kirchner has produced creative content for the Baylor men's basketball team that is "first-class."

            "You always think outside the box on different content strategies for our guys, for our program," said Jason Smith, Director of Recruiting for Baylor men's basketball. "You set us at a different level than the rest of the country, and we wouldn't be where we are as a program without the work and effort that you put in for us."

            Winning the One Standard, One Accord award for commitment to principled innovation, Kirchner "showcases our student-athletes at an elite level," said Joe Gonzales, Senior Director of Digital Media, "some of the best work in the country."

            "You're just a great example of what makes Baylor Athletics great," Gonzales said. "You approach each and every day with a humble mindset, and you're somebody that the team can depend on. Glad to call you a friend. We're definitely grateful that you're a part of our team, and Baylor is definitely blessed to have you."

            Whether it's staying late, coming in early or working on the weekends and holidays, Matthew is "always willing to help us whenever we need you," Smith said.

            While working on an undergrad business degree, Matthew minored in film & digital media and worked with Baylor Athletics Branding & Creative Services in producing video content for social media and in-venue viewing as well as live game broadcasts.

            Congrats, Matthew, on your staff award and being such a great innovative thinker. Keep looking outside the box.
