EQ Back In Action Against No. 5 Georgia

WACO, Texas – Baylor equestrian (1-6) hosts No. 5 Georgia (4-3) to open the spring season at the Willis Family Equestrian Center on Saturday, with the Bears and the Bulldogs facing off in a 10:30 a.m. matchup in Waco.

BU is still in search of a second win after defeating Fresno State 9-9 in a raw-score tiebreaker on Nov. 2. Sophomore Lauren Reid leads the way this season with a 4-2 Fences record. She picked up one Most Outstanding Performer nod on her way to a pair of Rider of the Month honors in November.

Baylor trails Georgia 16-3 in the all-time series. The two last faced off on Sept. 30, 2022, as BU dropped a tight 10-8 battle. Live scoring will be available for the meet and can be found here.

Saturday's meet marks January's Cub Club Event of the Month. Fans will be provided with Tiff's Treats, trading cards, coloring pages and pony pets during intermission.

Following the meet, Baylor (1-6, 1-2) starts a three-week road trip beginning with a Big 12 rematch in Stillwater, as the Bears face Oklahoma State (2-5, 2-1) on Friday, Feb. 9.
