Bears end weekend with strong Western showing
THE RUNDOWN
DAVIS, Calif. – Baylor (2-9) fell to UC Davis (4-4), 10-9, Saturday afternoon at the UC Davis Equestrian Center.
After a slow start in Fences, BU bounced back, claiming Flat 4-1. Lauren Jorgensen (61), Madison Mitchell (70), Lauren Reid (81) and Maddie Vorhies (66) collected points for the Bears. Reid's 81-ride picked up her first Most Outstanding Performer (MOP) nod of the season.
Over in the Western arena, Bella Rosa (76) and Alexis Rutledge (72) scratched two more points on the board in Horsemanship. Rosa's 76-ride garnered her first MOP honor of the season.
The Bears claimed their first Reining win of the season, 3-2. Riley Cachat (69), Emily Moomaw (65.5) and Kalena Reynolds (70.5) added to the tally.
