PALOS VERDES ESTATES, Calif.– Nearly five inches of rain fell overnight in Palos Verdes Estates, canceling the final round of the Therese Hession Regional Challenge on Monday morning.
The Bears finished the week with a 0-1-2 record and were led by
Sera Hasegawa, who went a perfect 3-0 and never trailed in any of her matches, needing only 43 holes to vanquish her three opponents.
Rosie Belsham and
Yoonjeong Huh also captured wins for the Bears over the weekend.
Baylor was set to take on Arizona in the fourth and final match of the week, but finished the event with a 0-1-2 record in three matches.
The Bears will now turn their attention to the crown-jewel event of the spring semester, the prestigious Darius Rucker Intercollegiate, March 4-6 at Long Cove Club in Hilton Head Island, S.C. All three rounds will feature live coverage on Golf Channel, making it the only all-women's regular season collegiate event to be nationally televised.
