
EQ Gathers 40 NCEA Academic Honors

Bears place 11 on academic teams, 29 on honor roll
WACO, Texas – Baylor equestrian collected 40 selections to the 2024 APHA National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) All-Academic teams and Academic Honor Roll, as announced Wednesday afternoon.
Seven Bears were named to the NCEA All Academic First Team, while four earned spots on the second team. Additionally, 29 Bears were placed on the NCEA Academic Honor Roll.
First-team members needed to compete in a minimum of 70 percent of their school's meets and earned a cumulative GPA of 3.5 while maintaining full-time enrollment in the previous spring and fall semesters, respectively.
Second-team members must have competed in at least 60 percent of their school's meets and earned a GPA of 3.25 while maintaining full-time enrollment in the previous spring and fall semesters, respectively.
The top academic student-athletes who earned a cumulative GPA of 3.25 while maintaining full-time enrollment in the previous spring and fall semesters were eligible for the honor roll.
BU finished its 2023-2024 campaign with a 3-11 record, including a 1-5 mark in conference play, and claimed third place in the 2024 Big 12 Championship.
