
WT Begins Homestand with SMU Tuesday

The Bears have won the last four meetings with the Mustangs
WACO, Texas – The Baylor women's tennis team begins its final homestand of the regular season on Tuesday when it hosts SMU at 5 p.m.
The match at the Hurd Tennis Center is free for all fans to attend. Those unable to attend can follow the match via live stats or live stream.
ABOUT THE BEARS
Baylor (15-9) looks to jump back in the win column on Tuesday after dropping its last three matches on the road. The Bears are an impressive 8-1 at home this season with their only setback to then-No. 19 Texas A&M. Baylor has won the last four meetings with SMU, including a come-from-behind 4-3 victory in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament. Newcomer Miska Kadleckova leads the way with 14 singles victories this season while Isabella Harvison follows closely behind with 11 wins. In doubles play, Kadleckova and teammate Danielle Tuhten have 10 wins at the No. 2 position.

SMU enters Tuesday match 9-10 overall with just three of those wins coming on the road. The Mustangs have won two of their last five matches, and Tuesday's contest against Baylor marks the final non-conference matchup for SMU. Hadley Doyle leads the way for the Mustangs, sitting at 9-3 in singles play while Drew Morris and Taylor Johnson have eight wins apiece. The duo of Johnson and Lana Mavor are 9-3 in doubles play while Doyle and Morris are an impressive 7-1.
