T&F Tiriah Kelley Earns Big 12 Athlete of the Week Award

IRVING, Texas – Baylor track & field saw its name appear for the second week in a row as junior Tiriah Kelley was named Big 12 Female's Athlete of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday afternoon.

Kelley earned the recognition after an impressive performance at the 2025 Corky Classic in Lubbock, Texas at Texas Tech's Sports Performance Center where she broke the Baylor program record in the women's 200m with a standout time of 22.73.

The Plano, Texas, native grabbed her second consecutive first place finish in the 200m. Kelley's clocked time of 22.73 ranks No. 1 in the Big 12, NCAA and World in 2025. Kelley also was named one of Baylor's Performers of the Week.

Last week, Demar Francis earned his second-career Big 12 Athlete of the Week recognition after netting first place in the men's 200m at 20.93.

Baylor takes the week to prepare for its next meet at the Deloss Dodds Invite in Manhattan, Kansas on Jan. 31-Feb. 1.
