WACO, Texas – The Baylor acrobatics & tumbling team has been named the preseason favorite by the NCATA for the 10
th year in a row, announced Friday.
Heading into
Felecia Mulkey's 11
th season at the helm of the Bears' program, BU is on the hunt for its 10
th-straight NCATA title.
The NCATA's preseason poll reflected that quest, BU earning 42 first-place votes from the association's coaches. It's the 10
th-straight time Baylor's been picked first in the preseason poll.
The Bears begin the season on Saturday, February 8, in Belton at Mary Hardin-Baylor. The Crusaders are led by two BU greats, Raffaela Scotto and
Riley Chimwala, who saw their team picked fifth in the poll. The meet will start at 5 p.m. at the Mayborn Campus Center.
