
MG Set for The Clerico on Monday-Tuesday

WACO, Texas -- Coming off a top-10 finish at the Trinity Forest Invitational, Baylor men's golf will travel to Tulsa, Okla., to participate in the two-day event, The Clerico, hosted by Oral Roberts at Southern Hills Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.
Baylor will start with a five-man lineup that includes Jonas Appel, Vincent Stjernfeldt, Alex Heard, Davis Ovard and Martin Kemp.
Other teams participating in The Clerico include Auburn, Arizona, SMU, Texas Tech, Marquette, Missouri, Oklahoma State, Northwestern, New Mexico and Washington.
This marks the fourth fall tournament for the Bears in 2025-26, with BU opening up the year with an 11th place finish at the Folds of Honor Collegiate in Michigan, then posted a 14th place finish in the Fighting Illini Invitational, and closed with a 10-under team score for a sixth-place finish at the Trinity Forest Invitational on Oct. 5-7.
Appel leads the team with a 71.67 stroke average through three events, shooting par or better in five of his nine rounds and owning a top-25 finish.
Stjernfeldt ranks second on the team with a 71.83 stroke average, with a low round of 69. Heard checks in third on the club with a 72.89 average, owning four par or better rounds, while Ovard has a 73.17 stroke average through two events. Kemp has shot a 77.33 stroke average through two events.
