
T&F Conclude Regular Season with Successful Day Two at Jarvis Scott Open

Bears now prepare for Big 12 Championships
LUBBOCK, Texas – In the final day of the 2025 regular season, Baylor track & field wrapped up its time at the Sports Performance Center with a successful competition at the Jarvis Scott Open.
THE RUNDOWN
Beginning the day at 11 a.m. on Saturday, the Bears took over the women's pole vault with a one-two finish. Molly Haywood continues her standout sophomore season with a first place finish at 14-10 for her fourth event won of the indoor season. Tenly Kuhn broke her PB mark for the second time this season, grabbing a second-place finish at 14-2.75.
Following the trend, Sima Lucero and Jasmine Gryne grabbed a one-two finish in the 600-yards, both recording PB marks. Lucero earned her first title in her career with her PB mark of 1:21.06, which ranks at No. 8 in Baylor indoor performances. Gryne finished right behind her teammate in second place at 1:22.55.
In the women's 200m, Baylor had a solid showing with four Bears finishing in the top-10 and two Bears earning PB marks. Tiriah Kelley grabbed the event title at 22.84, just 0.11 seconds shy of her program-record time to earn gold. Freshman Royaltee Brown earned a third place showing, breaking her PB with a 23.56 time. Michaela Francois broke her indoor PB in the 200m that she's had since last season with a 23.952 time. Right behind Francois was Summer Sergeant, who finished in ninth place at 23.96. Rounding out was Hannah Lowe in 16th with a 24:40 mark.
In the men's 200m, Demar Francis continued his success with a second-place finish at 20.79. Francis has yet to finish lower than second place in the event thus far in the season. Laurenz Colbert earned a fourth place finish at 20.88. Earning a PB in back-to-back weekends, Austen Diggs grabbed a 20.98 time for eighth place. De'montray Callis concluded the event in 16th at 21.32.
In the 4x400 relays, both men's and women's relay squad improved their season-best times, both finishing in second place. The men's squad of Abbas Ali, Francis, Dillon Bedell and Nathaniel Ezekiel ran for a time of 3:04.47. The team now sits seventh in the nation heading into championship season. The time was a big contribution of Ezekiel, who recorded an impressive 44.37 fourth leg. The women's shaved off a second at 3:34.52 for a new season-best.
In the field events, freshmen Iyanna Webb and JL Van Rensburg continue their phenom debut seasons. Webb jumped to tie the No. 4 mark on the all-time indoor performance list in the women's triple jump with a 43-3 mark and to finish third. Van Rensburg, yet to finish outside of the top-three this season, earned second place with a 61-9.5 mark in the men's shot put.
