LAWRENCE, Kan. – Baylor track & field concluded the 2025 Big 12 Outdoor Championships on Saturday at Rock Chalk Park with the women finishing in fourth with 84.5 points and the men in ninth with 47 points.
On Saturday alone, Baylor landed two event titles, five second place finishes, one third place finish and 14 All-Big 12 honors. The Bears broke three school records in the men's 110-meter hurdles and the men's and women's 400-meter hurdles.
Nathaniel Ezekiel made history once more, breaking his own Big 12 meet record, Nigerian record and Baylor record he set one day prior in the 400mH with an improved time of 47.89.
Calisha Taylor earned a come-from-behind second place finish with a PR of 56.10, breaking the school record. Taylor came back from being in fourth place in the final 50 meters to race ahead and snag silver.
Demario Prince broke the school-record that had been held since 1996 with a 13.18 mark in a down-to-the-wire finish in the 110-meter hurdles.
The 4x100 relay team of
Tiriah Kelley,
Hannah Lowe,
Alexis Brown and
Michaela Francois defended the title, winning the event in back-to-back years with a season-best mark of 42.73 which ranks No. 2 in the NCAA this season.
THE RUNDOWN
The men's 4x100 relay team of
Austen Diggs,
Laurenz Colbert,
Ricquan Graham and
De'montray Callis made their season-debut in impressive fashion with a bronze medal finish at 39.64, winning their heat. Following behind were the ladies with their historic 42.73 mark, becoming the first Baylor team ever to win the 4x100 in consecutive years.
In the 110m hurdles, it came down to the wire between
Demario Prince and Houston's Marshall Jr. Prince, breaking his PR with a 13.18 mark and breaking BU's school record that had been held for nearly 30 years. His mark ranks as the fourth-best time in the NCAA this season.
In the men's 100m, the Bears grabbed two podium finishes with
De'montray Callis earning second at 10.17 and
Laurenz Colbert in fifth at 10.32.
On the women's side, BU earned three podium finishes, most notably with
Alexis Brown fresh off the 4x100 relay, finishing second with a PR time of 11.08, just 0.02 seconds shy of the BU school record. The two freshmen of
Hannah Lowe finished sixth at 11.39 and
Janae De Gannes earned her second podium finish of the meet at 11.43, a personal best.
Ezekiel shocked the world once more, breaking every record he set just the day before with his dominant 47.89 mark.
Taylor followed up Ezekiel's performance with her own school record at 56.10.
In the women's 200m,
Tiriah Kelley faced off with TCU's freshman phenom, coming in just behind in second place at 22.64 to earn her second going on third medal of the day.
Iyanna Webb shined for the Bears in the field events with a PR and fifth place finish in the triple jump at 43-1.
After a two-hour weather delay, the meet resumed with the women's 5,000m.
Ruth Kimeli paced herself for a PR of 16:01.27, the fifth-fastest time ever by a Bear, to finish 10
th place overall.
The 4x400 relays rounded out the competition. The men's team of
Tyler Honeyman,
Abbas Ali,
Aren Spencer and Ezekiel won their heat and finished sixth overall with a season-best time of 3:06.19. Ezekiel came from behind in fourth in his sub-45 final leg of 44.12 to push the Bears up. On the women's side, the squad of
Summer Sergeant, Kelley,
Jasmine Gryne and
Aaryona Kinchen finished in fifth place with an even 3:35.00 mark.

Overall, I was pleased with the overall effort from both men and women tonight."
