MIKE ON THE MIC
"We had a good meet. No one got any injuries, so definitely blessed to get back to Waco in one piece and get ready for Big 12 Championships and the West Prelim. Had some good performances, two school records with Igor breaking his school record again and Tiriah breaking the 200 record with the college wind time, so she did well. We also had seven meet records, which I don't think we've ever had seven meet records. Tenly had another PR. She's having a phenomenal season. JL had a great meet getting back to the throws. You had both Alexis and Janae both going over 22-feet which is impressive. Coach Smith is doing a great job. We had a lot of PRs today, a lot of season's best, so very pleased with the team going into Big 12s. We need to get a few kids healthy, and I think we'll be ready to go, but I think overall we had a good meet. A&M did a great job at hosting and the weather was great."
WHAT'S NEXT
The Bears return to Waco to prepare for the postseason, beginning with the Big 12 Outdoor Championships in Lawrence, Kansas from May 15-17 at Rock Chalk Park.
