IRVING, Texas – Heading into Championship Season, Baylor track & field garnered its second consecutive Big 12 Athlete of the Week accolade, this week with
Tiriah Kelley, the conference announced on Wednesday afternoon.
Kelley, a junior from Plano, Texas, earned her second weekly honor of the 2025 season after her performance at Texas A&M's Alumni Muster. In the final regular season meet of the outdoor season, Kelley ran a 22.34 (3.5 m/s) mark in the 200m, earning second place.
The junior's collegiate wind-legal time broke the Baylor 200m program record, as Kelley now holds the indoor and outdoor 200m BU records in her name.
Kelley will enter the Big 12 Outdoor Championships, taking place in Lawrence, Kansas from May 15-17, with the No. 1 time in the 200m among the Big 12. In the NCAA for the 2025 season, Kelley ranks third.
Kelley has helped the women's track & field squad acquire national attention this season as they currently rank No. 7 in the nation, based on most recent USTFCCCA rankings. In event groups, the Bears 200m group ranks 17
th in the NCAA.
