
TF’s Brown Earns USTFCCCA Academic Honor

Both Men's and Women's Teams, 10 individuals honored as All-Academic as well
NEW ORLEANS, La. – Baylor Track & Field's Alexis Brown has added another accolade to her season, earning the 2025 Women's Indoor Field Scholar Athlete of the Year title from USTFCCCA, announced Monday.
The NCAA Indoor Long Jump National Champion had a 3.96 cumulative GPA in her graduate program to earn her the honor.
Brown adds the accolade to her already lengthy list of season highlights, including Big 12 Indoor and Outdoor Champion in Long Jump, Big 12 Outdoor Women's Performer of the Year, NCAA Outdoor Bronze Medalist in Long Jump, Big 12 Indoor Bronze Medalist in 60m, NCAA Indoor First Team All-American in 60m and Long Jump, NCAA Outdoor Second Team All-American in 4x100m Relay, USTFCCCA Indoor South Central Region Women's Field Athlete of the Year, Big 12 Female Outdoor Scholar-Athlete of the Year and CSC Academic All-District.
Brown has had a record-breaking final indoor season. Brown broke the Baylor program record in the indoor long jump three times this season alone. She clipped the 22-foot mark three times throughout the season.
Both the Men's and Women's team were named USTFCCCA All-Academic Teams, while 11 student-athletes were named All-Academica as well. Those were Isabella Copeland, Molly Haywood, Emily Kuhn, Serafima Lucero, Calisha Taylor, Logan Todorovich and Iyanna Webb from the women's side, and Ricquan Graham, Igor Olaru, Demario Prince and Aren Spencer from the men's.
