IRVING, Texas – Baylor senior
Tyler Isgrig was named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week, the conference announced Wednesday.
Isgrig recorded her fifth career brace in Sunday's 2-0 win over Abilene Christian, scoring BU's third and fourth consecutive goals over the last two matches.
The award is Baylor's 67
th total weekly soccer honor from the Big 12 and the 19
th offensive-specific award since the category was added before the 2000 season.
Isgrig was recognized as co-offensive player of the week alongside Seven Castain of TCU. The conference also honored Roxanne Vilain of West Virginia as defensive player of the week and Paiton Collins of BYU as goalkeeper of the week. Addison Baltodano of Arizona State and Emmy Hedden of Oklahoma State shared freshman of the week nods.
Baylor opens conference play against Texas Tech on Friday at 7 p.m. after compiling its second undefeated non-conference slate in program history.
