
EQ Set For Annual Green & Gold Scrimmage

Bears begin the season with three road meets before Oct. 31 home opener
WACO, Texas – Baylor equestrian will host its annual Green and Gold scrimmage on Friday, Sept. 19, at the Willis Family Equestrian Center in Waco.
First ride is set for 10 a.m., and the meet is free and open to the public. Fans will get their first chance to see the 2025-26 roster in action, which includes 10 freshmen, 10 sophomores, 11 juniors, 14 seniors and two fifth-year seniors.
The Bears are back in action after a trip to the Big 12 championship semifinals in which they fell to No. 5 Oklahoma State in the opening round. After a 5-7 campaign, 2025 All-Big 12 Fences team member Lauren Jorgensen is back to lead the squad.
BU was ranked to start the season in the first National Collegiate Equestrian Association (NCEA) Dual Discipline Preseason Coaches Poll announced on Tuesday by the organization.
Baylor opens the season with two road trips, one to the east coast to face Georgia (Oct. 3) and Auburn (Oct. 4), and another one up I-35 to face conference rival TCU (Oct. 9). The Bears open their home slate on Oct. 31 against Big 12 foe Fresno State.
