BU’s Haggard earns Setter of the Week while Rakhmanchik selected to the League’s “Starting Seven”
WACO, Texas – Baylor volleyball's Isabela Haggard was named the Big 12 Setter of the Week for the third time this season, while sophomore Ksenia Rakhmanchik earned a spot on the conference's Starting Seven after the Bears' impressive road win over No. 10 TCU.
The honors come after Baylor secured its first top-10 road win since 2021, extending its four-match winning streak against the Horned Frogs.
Haggard earned her second consecutive Big 12 Setter of the Week award after directing the Bears' offense to a .262 attack percentage and 44 kills in the sweep. She recorded 32 assists and 10 digs, notching her fourth double-double this season. The Marquette transfer now ranks third in the Big 12, averaging 9.90 assists per set.
Rakhmanchik continued her dominant stretch, recording 23 kills on a .463 hitting percentage to lead Baylor's attack in the sweep. Tuesday's distinction comes on the heels of earning Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors last week.
The sensational sophomore leads the Big 12 with 4.90 kills per set, a mark that ranks fifth nationally. She also leads the conference with 11.48 attacks per set and ranks among the top 20 in the NCAA.
The Bears are on a roll as of late, winning three-straight matches via straight-set sweeps, and look to continue their winning ways against Houston and No. 17 Kansas this coming weekend. First serve against the Coogs is slated for 7 p.m. on Friday, with Sunday's Top-25 tilt against the Jayhawks set for 2 p.m.
