The Junior has collected a hit in a career-best five-straight games

SAN DIEGO, Calif. --Junior Leah Cran recorded two extra base hits to help lead the Baylor Bears over the Oregon State Beavers 5-4 Friday.

Sophomore Cambree Creager (1-1) picked up the victory out of the bullpen for Baylor (6-2). The right-hander went 2.1 shutout innings while giving up one hit, allowing one walk and striking out two.

Cran's two extra base hits were the highlight of a 2-for-3 day, and included a double, a home run and three RBIs. Senior Amber Toven comntinued to roll as well, going 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI. Senior Brooklyn Carter also chipped in for the Bears, putting together two hits in three trips, including a double.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Bears were trailing 3-0 in the fourth inning when sophomore Jayden King came across to score the lone run of the inning to get Baylor on the board.

The Beavers expanded their lead to 4-1 before the Bears offense got back to work, taking the lead in the fifth. The Baylor offense exploded for four runs, highlighted by a three-run blast to left off the bat of Cran, which brought the Bears lead to 5-4.

Baylor's defense sealed the win in the top of the 7th as Toven skied for a liner to end the game and get back on the winning track.

GAME NOTES
