Seven MBB Bears Compete at 2026 NBA Summer League

Cameron Carr, Norchad Omier headline strong performances as Baylor alumni take the floor for seven NBA franchises in Las Vegas
WACO, Texas – Baylor men's basketball was well represented at the 2026 NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, with seven former Bears taking the floor for their respective NBA teams during the event, held July 9-19 at the Thomas & Mack Center.
Cameron Carr, the Los Angeles Lakers' 2026 first-round pick, emerged as one of the Summer League's standout performers. The rookie wing reached double figures in four of his five games, including a game-high 23 points on 8-of-18 shooting in a 99-85 win over the Clippers. During that four-game stretch, Carr averaged 18.0 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists while helping the Lakers post a 4-1 record in Las Vegas.
Norchad Omier turned in one of the tournament's most productive performances for the LA Clippers, finishing with back-to-back double-doubles to close the team's 3-2 Summer League campaign. He followed an 11-point, 15-rebound effort against Washington with 20 points, 15 rebounds and five assists while shooting 8-of-10 from the field in a 128-120 overtime win over Minnesota.
Adam Flagler provided consistent production for the Sacramento Kings, who finished 2-3. The guard recorded 11 points, three rebounds, three assists and two blocks in a win over Charlotte before adding 11 points and three rebounds against Boston. Flagler joined Sacramento after winning an NBA title with Oklahoma City in 2025.
Kendall Brown logged steady minutes for the Miami Heat, scoring 11 points in the team's finale against Detroit and adding 13 points in another appearance as Miami finished 1-3.
RayJ Dennis made an immediate impact for the Atlanta Hawks, posting 10 points, three assists, three steals and two rebounds in 16 minutes during a July 9 win over San Antonio. A right Achilles injury limited the two-way guard to that lone appearance, but Dennis enters the season after earning All-NBA G League Third Team honors.
Jalen Bridges capped Portland's 2-3 Summer League by leading the Trail Blazers with 16 points and six rebounds in an 83-79 loss to Utah.
Jayden Nunn showcased his defensive ability with the San Antonio Spurs, highlighted by a four-steal performance against Miami. He averaged 14.7 minutes per game during Summer League.
With Summer League complete, the seven former Bears will turn their attention to training camp as they compete for roster spots and expanded roles entering the 2026-27 season.
