Bears post most non-conference wins since 2018

TULSA, Okla. – No. 17 Baylor soccer closed out its non-conference campaign with a 2-1 win over Oral Roberts on Saturday night at the Case Soccer Complex, getting the game-winner from Aryanna Jimison in the 81^st minute, less than 90 seconds after the Golden Eagles' equalizer.

The victory capped Baylor's non-conference schedule at 7-1, the program's most non-conference wins under head coach Michelle Lenard and the most since the 2018 team also finished with seven.

Grace White's header put the Bears in front first, redirecting a corner kick from Olivia Hess into the net in the 41^st minute for her fourth goal of the season. The finish moved White into the team lead in goals, while the feed was the third assist of the year for Hess.

Baylor carried the 1-0 lead into halftime and for much of the second half before Oral Roberts drew a free kick in the 79^th minute after a yellow card on Kaitlin Swann. Brianna Castleberry converted off the following set piece to level the match at 1-all in the 80^th minute.

The Bears needed only a little more than a minute to respond. Jimison headed home the go-ahead goal in the 81^st minute off assists from Callie Conrad and Sydney Miller to put Baylor back in front for good, 2-1. It was Jimison's third goal of the season and the second in as many matches, marking the first time she has scored in back-to-back contests since transferring to Baylor ahead of the 2025 season. The assist was the second of the year for both Miller and Conrad.

Azul Alvarez went the distance in net for Baylor again, stopping five shots to pick up the win. Oral Roberts netminder, Alyson Sebban, made seven saves in the loss, which was the Golden Eagles' first of the season.

Baylor held the edge in shots, 14-10, and shots on goal, 10-6, while also winning the corner-kick battle, 10-3.

The Bears open the Big 12 league slate on Friday night in Morgantown, facing off against West Virginia, currently ranked No. 8 at 5-0-1, at 6 p.m. CT. The match from Dick Dlesk Soccer Stadium will stream live on ESPN+.
