WACO, Texas - Baylor men's and women's basketball will welcome students grades 8 and under to its annual education game "Future Bears Day" presented by McLane Children's at the Paul and Alejandra Foster Pavilion.
Baylor men's basketball Future Bears Day will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 18 at 11 a.m. against Jackson State. Baylor women's basketball Future Bears Day will take place on Wednesday, Dec. 9 at 11 a.m. against Texas Southern.
This season, capacity will remain at 5,000 Future Bears Day student participants.
All classrooms K-8 are welcome to register for men's or women's basketball Future Bears Day, but registration does not confirm attendance for the event. A representative from Baylor Athletics will contact each school's contact about their registration status. Schools attending will receive complimentary admission to the game.
During online registration, schools will need to provide the number of students, faculty/staff and number of buses to complete their submission. Once confirmed, schools will be assigned to their section and provided directions one week prior to the game. Supervision of students in attendance is required.
Registration will close on Friday, Oct. 9 at 5 p.m., and selected schools will be contacted by Friday, Oct. 23 confirming selection. Each confirmed school must submit their final numbers by Friday, Oct. 30.
All bus parking will be located at McLane Stadium. Buses will need to check in at the McLane parking lot and then will be released by a Waco PD officer to proceed to Foster for drop-off. In addition, bus drivers cannot be the students' chaperones as they will have to return to McLane after they have unloaded students at Foster Pavilion. Drivers must be in their buses at all times, and personal vehicle drop-off will not be permitted.
Concessions will be available for purchase; however, schools may also bring lunch for their classrooms.
The Sideline Club will be utilized to provide seating for season ticket holders, and seating will be general admission on a first come first serve basis. Courtside Club ticket holders will receive their usual seats. Communication regarding season ticket holder seating will be sent via email in early November.
