Her fourth season with the Bears ... Played in nine of Baylor's 28 matches for the season ... Recorded 17 digs and had 0.71 digs per set ... Against North Texas she had two aces and six digs (10/6) ... Played in 24 sets ... Had the second-best aces/set on the team at 0.17 with a .903 serve percentage ... Named Academic All-Big 12 First Team.

2020 (Third-Year Sophomore):
One of three Bears to play in all 104 sets in 2020-21 season…Tallied 230 digs (2.21 per set) as defensive specialist with 35 assists, 15 aces, three kills and one block…Recorded double-digit digs in eight matches…Made collegiate debut on Sept. 25 at Kansas with 10 digs, one assist and one ace…Recorded first-career kill vs. West Virginia on Oct. 29…Recorded first-career block vs. West Virginia on Oct. 30…Collected career-best four aces at Texas on Nov. 6…Notched career-high 15 digs at Houston on March 18…Finished the season with at least seven digs in each of her last seven matches…Tallied one kill in each of Baylor’s two postseason contests…Named to Academic All-Big 12 First Team.

2019 (Redshirt Freshman):
Did not play in any matches…Big 12 Champion and NCAA National Semifinalist team member…Helped BU achieve its first No. 1 AVCA national ranking for six weeks and the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament.

2018 (Freshman):
Redshirted and didn't play during first season with the Bears...Earned Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll status during spring semester.

High School: 
Competed for Cypress Ridge HS where she played outside hitter and defensive specialist…Voted VYPE NW Houston Player of the Year in 2017…Also named most valuable hitter by VYPE in same season…Earned first team all-district honors all four years …Was named to the Texas Association of Volleyball Coaches All-Star Team in 2017…Was also named to TAVC Preseason Team…Named the District 17-6A Attacker of the Year…Named a PrepVolleyball.com “Next 150” recruit…In the classroom, earned academic all-district four times and graduated magna cum laude…Also spent time as a volunteer at the MET Church in Cypress, Reach Fest for Life, Peer Assistance and Leadership (PALS) program and FCA…Volunteered with high school team following Hurricane Harvey…As part of Texas Tornadoes club team, earned a bronze medal in the Open Division Girls Junior National Championship her junior and senior seasons.

Daughter of Jon Marc and Monica Van Slate…Mother is a 1988 Baylor grad…Has one older sister, Sara, who graduated from Baylor in 2017…Played club for Texas Tornadoes Volleyball Club under Coach Bill Walton in Houston…Majoring in journalism on public relations track.
