Biography

Gregg Glime is in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach at Baylor. A former four-year letterwinner, Glime runs Baylor[apos]s summer camps and the Baylor Baseball Academy as well as assisting with coaching duties.

An Aurora, Colo., native, Glime was a two-time Baylor captain (2009 & 2010) and an All-Big 12 Conference first-team selection by the Waco Tribune-Herald during his senior season. He was a 24th-round selection of the Florida Marlins in the 2010 MLB Draft. Glime spent two seasons playing professional baseball, advancing as far as Triple-A last season with the New Orleans Zephyrs.

As a senior in 2010, Glime earned honorable mention all-conference honors from the league[apos]s coaches after he played in 50 games and made 48 starts behind the plate. He turned in the best season of his career, hitting .248 with eight home runs and 43 RBI. Glime committed just three errors in 447 chances for a .993 fielding percentage.

Glime was also named the Larry Isbell Most Valuable Player, the Thornton Sterling Player of the Year and honored with the Judge Fred 'Red' Harris 110 Percent Award in 2010; joining former Baylor catcher Zach Dillon as the only BU players to claim three awards in the same season.
