Tripp Tuff

Tripp Tuff joined the Baylor men's tennis staff as assistant coach in August of 2026.
“We’re incredibly excited to welcome Tripp Tiff to our Baylor Tennis family,” said head coach Michael Woodson. “Tripp has a calm, cool and collected presence about him, but there is also a contagious confidence that you feel the moment you’re around him. He has earned a tremendous reputation for the way he carries himself, the way he connects with people and the belief he brings to those around him."
Tuff joined the Bears after spending the 2025-26 season as an assistant with Northwestern's women's tennis program, helping the Wildcats to a 14-12 overall record and a berth in the Big Ten Tournament alongside the long-time head coach Claire Pollard.
Prior to his time in Evanston, Tuff took over two seasons as head coach at Hofstra, assisting both the men's and women's programs. In three seasons with the Pride, he helped multiple players to All-CAA honors. Additionally, he guided the women's team to a program-best nine-seed at the CAA Conference Tournament in his first year at the helm.
A former Big East champion at DePaul, Tuff captained the Blue Demons during back-to-back conference championship seasons in 2021 and 2022. He was also a two-time selection to both the Big East All-Academic Team and the ITA All-Academic Team.
Tuff graduated cum laude from DePaul in 2020 with a bachelor's degree in neuroscience and a minor in peace, justice and conflict studies. He earned a master's degree in public health in 2022. He is a native of Watermill, N.Y.
