Summary

Biography

Prior to attending Graduate school at Baylor University, Ashley Monceaux was an Assistant Softball Coach at the University of Evansville where she primarily worked with pitchers and hitters. While at the University of Evansville, Monceaux helped develop a program under Head Coach Mark Redburn. A native of Tucson, Arizona, Monceaux was a standout athlete during her collegiate careers at Baylor University and Pima Community College. At Pima, Monceaux was a Two-Time NJCAA Division 1 All American Selection. Before transferring to Baylor, Monceaux led the Aztecs to the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference Title and an NJCAA National Championship, where she earned the title of 2004 NJCAA Player of the Year. While at Baylor, Monceaux led the Bears to a 2007 World Series Appearance, where she was named to the All-Tournament team as a first baseman. An All-American Selection in 2006 & 2007, Monceaux was a first team All-Big 12 Conference honoree and named player of the week for three consecutive weeks. Monceaux holds the Baylor Career Record Holder for home runs per game, RBI[apos]s per game, slugging percentage, on base percentage, hits, doubles, games played and started. Career-record holder for slugging percentage and on-base percentage. Upon graduating from Baylor, Monceaux was one of 36 players invited to attend the 2007 Olympic Camp. She was then drafted to the National Pro Fastpitch League and the Professional Fastpitch Extreme (PFX) tour. Monceaux is still active in the game, playing first base and left field for the PFX Tour, which includes 30 top caliber professional players. Monceaux is currently finding a new church to call home and be involved with here in Waco. She gives hitting and pitching lessons to young softball players and is a volunteer coach for the Waco Firecrackers.
