Hertenberger finished the 2021 campaign with a 3.98 ERA through 114.1 innings pitched … Recorded 76 strikeouts and one save in 31 appearances … Had a season high 8.0 innings pitched against Tulsa (May 7) … Compiled a season high seven strikeouts against East Carolina (Apr. 16).
2020 (HOUSTON):
Made eight appearances in the circle, having led the Cougars with her 2.26 ERA in her 34.0 innings of work … Held opposing batters to a .203 batting average, a mark that ranked seventh in the American Athletic Conference … Recorded a career performance in the win over No. 20/20 Texas Tech (
Feb. 22), where she struck out a career-high 10 batters and surrendered just one run and three hits … Tossed a gem against No. 21/18 Baylor (
March 10), allowing just two hits and no earned runs on 88 pitches … Helped guide Houston to its first 11-game winning streak since 2011, posting a 2.19 ERA with a 2-0 record during that stretch.
2019 (HOUSTON):
Made 15 appearances in the circle, having started seven games in her rookie campaign … Earned a spot on The American Weekly Honor Roll (April 15) after throwing a season-high seven innings in the third game against UConn (April 14) to complete the series sweep over the Huskies, having surrendered no walks in the process … Collected the first win of her career in a relief appearance against Maryland (Feb. 16) … Tossed the first shutout of career against Incarnate Word (Feb. 22), surrendering just one hit in the win … Struck out a season-high eight batters in her two-hit shutout performance against Texas Southern (March 2) … Helped lead Houston to a run in the NCAA Tournament, making an appearance in the championship game of the Austin Regional.
HIGH SCHOOL:
Received four letters at Alvin HS, where she led her squad to back-to-back district championships from 2017-18 … Holds records for strikeouts in a single season (316), strikeouts in a career (800) and strikeouts in a game (23) … Awarded district MVP twice in her career … A three-time 22-6A First-Team All-District selection and three-time TSWA All-State honoree.
