Annie Rose Carrell joined Baylor Athletics in August 2023 as the Spirit Coordinator for the Baylor Spirit Squads and served as assistant dance coach for the Songleaders dance team. She was promoted in August 2024 to Assistant Director of Spirit and Traditions and took over as head coach of the Songleaders dance team.
From 2019 to 2023, Annie worked with Crowd Pleasers Dance, where she taught dance camps, led leadership workshops, choreographed routines and supported the execution of dance competitions. In this role, she combined her passion for dance with her ability to mentor, inspire and engage students, while also gaining valuable experience in event coordination and performance production.
Annie attended the University of Oklahoma where she earned her degree in Mental and Physical Health Studies. During her time at OU, she cheered for the Sooners as a member of the Pom Squad, served as the JV Norman High School pom coach and was an active member of the Chi Omega sorority. Annie graduated from Oklahoma in August 2022.
Annie is originally from Denton, Texas. She is married to Zach Carrell, and together they enjoy traveling, spending time with family and cheering on the Baylor Bears at spirit events.
