Ryan Gibson

Ryan Gibson is in his first year as a volunteer assistant coach for the Bears. His primary duty is to help assistant coach Stacey Smith in the coaching of jumps, including the events of high, long and triple jump.
In December 2014, Gibson earned a Master[apos]s in Sports Pedagogy from Baylor.
Prior to his time at Baylor, Gibson served as an assistant coach at both Stillwater (Okla.) High School in the spring of 2013 and Reicher High School in Waco in the spring of 2014.
Gibson earned his bachelor[apos]s degree in Health and Human Performance from Oklahoma State in 2013. In college, he did a variety of events for the Cowboys[apos] track and field team before injuries ended his career.
Gibson is from Duncan, Okla., where he graduated from Duncan High School. At the high school level, Gibson helped the 4x1, 4x4 and 4x8 relays qualify for the state meet in his junior and senior seasons. He was an all-district performer in both track and football.
