2007: Finished second in the long jump at 6.54 meters (21-05.50) at the Dr Pepper Invitational...Took fifth in the event at the Michael Johnson Classic with a jump of 6.11 meters (20-00.50)...Finished fourth in the triple jump with a mark of 13.62 meters (44-08.25) at the North Texas Invitational...Won the triple jump at the Dr Pepper Invitational with a mark of 13.32 meters (43-08.50)...During Indoors, placed seventh in the triple jump with a mark of 13.84 meters (45-05) at the Lobo Invitational.
2006: Finished fourth in the triple jump at the Dr Pepper Invitational with a season-best mark of 13.91 (45-7 ¾)...During the indoor season, finished 11th in the triple jump with a season-best mark of 14.31 (46-11 ½) at the Tyson Invitational...Named to the fall and spring Big 12 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Rolls, including a perfect 4.0 GPA in the fall.
2005: During the outdoor season, had a season-best triple jump of 13.96 (45-9 ¾) to finish sixth at the Michael Johnson Classic...Finished seventh in the long jump at the Dr Pepper Invitational with a mark of 6.43 (21-1 ¼)...Placed third in the triple jump at the UT-Arlington Invitational, fourth at the John Jacobs Invitational and fifth at the Dr Pepper Invitational...Competed only once indoors, finishing second in the Houston Opener with a mark of 14.00 (45-11 ¼)...Named to fall and spring Big 12 Commissioner[apos]s Honor Rolls.
High School: Four-year letterwinner at Barbers Hill High School in Mont Belvieu, Texas, for coaches Brian Price and Ken Skidmore...Helped Eagles to three straight district team championships...As a senior, won district titles in the triple jump and the 110-meter hurdles and finished second in the long jump to earn district MVP honors...Personal-best marks of 44-4 in the triple jump and 21-3 in the long jump...Earned MVP honors at the Barbers Hill Relays in 2003 and the Anahuac Relays in 2004...Also earned three letters in basketball, earning all-district honors as a senior...Graduated third in his class and was a member of National Honor Society and the Computer Science UIL team.
