Lorena, Texas, native Jenny Fuller returned to her alma mater as an assistant coach for the Baylor softball program on May 28, 2026, bringing with over a decade of collegiate coaching experience and a proven track record of player development at multiple levels of the sport.
Fuller returned to Waco on the heels of a two-year stint as head coach at Glenn Moore’s alma mater, Northwestern State.
In 2026, Fuller helped guide the Demons to a 24-29 overall record, marking a 17-win improvement from her first season at the helm. Under her leadership, Mattison Buster was named the Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year, one of three all-conference performers for the Demons.
Overall, Buster led the conference in complete games (22), games started (34), innings pitched (210.0), appearances (39), shutouts (6), strikeouts (116) and wins (21). She finished the regular season and one of 12 pitchers in the country with 20 or more wins, just the fifth Southland pitcher in the past five years to record 20 wins in a season, with her 21 wins tying a school record.
Northwestern State finished seventh in the Southland standings, two spots higher than its preseason projection, in a conference that produced multiple NCAA Tournament teams.
In her first season in Natchitoches, she guided one of the youngest teams in the country during with 17 freshmen or sophomores on the 18-player roster. Despite the youth, the Demons recorded a historic 5-0 victory over No. 20 Mississippi State in Starkville, snapping the program’s 49-game losing streak against ranked opponents and securing its first ranked win since 2004.
Under Fuller’s guidance, freshman pitcher Brooklynn Stohler tossed her first career shutout in the win over Mississippi State before finishing the season with 155 innings pitched, the sixth-most by a freshman in program history. Sophomore Sophia Livers earned Southland Conference All-Defensive Team honors, while Aly Delafield posted the highest batting average in conference play by a Northwestern State player since 2015.
Prior to Northwestern State, Fuller spent three seasons at Pittsburg State, where she helped the Gorillas win more than 100 games during her tenure, highlighted by a historic 2024 campaign that saw PSU claim a share of the MIAA regular-season championship, set a school record with 53 wins and host an NCAA Division II Regional for the first time in program history. Fuller and her staff were named MIAA Coaching Staff of the Year following the season.
While at Pittsburg State, Fuller coached four All-Americans, six Academic All-Americans, seven all-region selections and 18 all-conference honorees. The Gorillas ranked among the nation’s top offensive teams in 2024, finishing fifth nationally with a .348 batting average and 11th in on-base percentage, while the pitching staff led the conference in strikeouts.
Prior to Pittsburg State, she was at Northern State in Aberdeen, S.D., where 17 different single game, season or career records were broken by players under her guidance.
In 2020, the Wolves won their first 10 games of the season and had a program-best 15-4 record before the season was canceled due to Covid-19.
In her first season there, Northern State finished with the second highest team batting average in program history at the time, and the first average over .300 in two decades.
Fuller’s first head coaching job came at NAIA-member Cardinal Stritch in Milwaukee, Wis., in 2016. There she compiled a 59-36 record in two seasons including a 30-13 mark in her first season.
She began her collegiate coaching career North of the River at McLennan Community College in Waco, helping lead the Highlanders to the 2011 NJCAA National Championship and the 2014 Region V North Conference title.
As a player, Fuller starred at McLennan before transferring to Baylor to play for Moore. At MCC, she earned NFCA First-Team All-America honors and Region V Pitcher of the Year recognition after posting a 29-6 record with a 0.97 ERA and 285 strikeouts during her sophomore season.
During her career at Baylor, Fuller posted one of the top winning percentages in program history, finishing with a .813 career mark in the circle. In 2008 she led the team in wins [11] and shutouts [3].
Fuller earned her associate degree in arts and business from MCC before receiving both her bachelor’s degree in education and master’s degree in sport management from Baylor.
Her husband Brad is also an assistant coach with the Bears. They have one daughter, Emma.
