Marlena Beckham concluded her third season as the jumping seat assistant coach on the Baylor equestrian coaching staff, joining the program in January of 2018 in an interim role before being hired as the full time assistant in May of the same year.
Formally known as hunter seat, Beckham works with the jumping seat riders, helping to lead one of the most traditionally successful and prolific units in the country.
In 2019-20, the Bears earned three NCEAÂ All-America selections while Rachael Davis repeated as Big 12 Flat Rider of the Year.
She was a four-year letterwinner for Texas A&M from 2012 to 2016, leaving as one of the most decorated and high-scoring hunter seat riders in program history.
Beckham joined the Bears after serving as the Girls Ministry Director at Central Baptist Church in College Station over the previous year and a half.
She graduated with a bachelor's degree in Agricultural Communications and Journalism from Texas A&M in 2016 and is currently working towards a Master of Arts in Christian Education from Dallas Theological Seminary.
A native of Cumming, Ga., she is married to Allen Beckham. The couple has a daughter, Eloise.
