Men's Tennis Team Falls to Fresno State, 4-3

FRESNO, Calif. - The No. 7-ranked Baylor men?s tennis team lost on the road to No. 13 Fresno State on Saturday, 4-3.
Baylor again started off well, winning the doubles point. The fifth-ranked team of David Hodge and Mark Williams lost to Andy Scorteanu and Rob Cheyne, 8-4, but the Bears easily won the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles spots to take the point.
In singles play, Csongor Bibza lost in straight sets, but the Bears won on courts No. 4 and No. 6 to take a 3-1 lead.
Fresno State, however, stormed back to win the final three matches for the win. David Hodge and Pawel Gajdzik each lost 6-4, 6-4, as Fresno State tied the score. For the second time in two matches, the decision came down to court no. 1 and No. 19 Johann Jooste.
After dropping the first set, No. 32 Peter Luczak won the second and third sets handily over Jooste to clinch the win for Fresno State.
Baylor comes home for their next match, as the Bears host Nebraska April 7 at 1:30 p.m.
