WACO, Texas - Both Baylor tennis teams reversed a recent trend, moving up in the latest team rankings released Wednesday by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). The women's team climbed three spots to 15th, while the men jumped from 43rd to 27th in the nation.
The Baylor women have won nine of their last 10 matches, fueling their move up in the rankings. Their ranking of No. 15 is two spots shy of the program's highest ever, reached earlier this season.
The Baylor men rebounded from last week's No. 43 listing, their lowest since December 1997, by defeating then-No. 36 Oklahoma State on Sunday. That win moved the Bears back up to No. 27.

The Baylor women's match scheduled for Wednesday was rescheduled due to rain. The Bears will travel to Milwaukee to face Marquette and Wisconsin on Friday.
The men's team hosts No. 7 Pepperdine Friday at 1 p.m. at the Streich Tennis Courts.
