Women Golfers To Travel To Norman

WACO, Texas - The Baylor women's golf team is traveling to Norman, Okla. tomorrow to participate in the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic hosted by Oklahoma.

The teams participating include six Big 12 schools including Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Texas Tech. The other schools participating are Arkansas-Little Rock, Arkansas State Lamar, North Texas, Oklahoma City, ORU, Sam Houston State, SMU, UTEP, and Wichita State.

The five Bears traveling to the tournament include senior Melanie Hagewood, junior Kelli McKandless, junior Michaelyn Morgan, senior Hanna-Sofia Svenningsson and freshman Josefin Svenningsson.

The Jimmie Austin Golf OU Golf Course is an 18-hole, 5,910-yard, par-72 course situated in Norman.

Thirty-six holes will be played Monday beginning at 8:00 a.m. and the final round will be played Tuesday beginning at 8:00 a.m.

The Bears are coming off of a third place finish at the BU-Tapatio Springs Shootout.
