Men's Tennis Advance in Doubles Play

Waco, Texas - Baylor men's tennis came up short in singles play on Saturday at the Sherwood Collegiate Cup but will move on with Benjamin Becker and Matias Marin winning in the first and second rounds of the doubles bracket.
Becker, the tournaments No. 2 seed, fell to UCLA's Kris Kwinta in the third round of play Saturday 7-6, 7-5. Likewise, Marin who came up short losing to Southern California's (USC) Jamil Al-Agba 3-6, 6-1, 6-3.
In doubles play, Marin and Becker teamed up and defeated Jake Leivent and Wayne Wong of California 8-5 in the first round. In the second round the Baylor duo defeated Daniel Langer and Parker Collins of USC 8-6. Becker and Marin will take the court at 2:30 (PST) Sunday against Patrick Braivd and Balazs Veress of California.
