WACO, Texas - Baylor's men's and women's tennis programs are well represented in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's (ITA) regional rankings. Four men and three women's names appear among the top 30 in singles in the rankings. In addition, the men have two doubles teams ranked and the women have one tandem listed.

On the men's side, the Bears have all four players ranked 14th or above in the South Central rankings. Juniors Benedikt Dorsch and Benjamin Becker hold down the top two spots, respectively. Freshman Matija Zgaga is ranked No. 12 and sophomore Ivor Lovrak is listed 14th. Becker and Lovrak are the region's fourth ranked doubles team and Zgaga and sophomore Jason Gould hold down the No. 9 position.

Freshman Carolin Walter is the top-ranked women's player in the Southwest Region at No. 8. Junior Daria Potapova checks in at No. 18 and Stephanie Balzert is No. 26. Balzert and Potapova are ranked No. 5 in doubles.

ITA preseason national team and individual rankings will be released on Tues., Jan. 13. Dorsch was the top-ranked player in the fall national rankings earlier this season.
