2004-05 BAYLOR BASKETBALL
Nov. 24, 2004 - FERRELL CENTER - WACO, TEXAS
BAYLOR 75 - LOUISIANA-MONROE 61

Head Coach Scott Drew

On how the team played tonight:
"First of all I would like to wish everyone a happy and safe Thanksgiving. I know after tomorrow we will come back and get better, hopefully at rebounding. I'm very pleased with the turnovers, to have eight turnovers is phenomenal. We knew it would be tough this year because we are lacking in numbers, when people have a off nights it is really hard to overcome that and when you have one or two main guys have off nights it puts us in a tough situation. The good thing is when we keep improving in certain areas it should be a constant. Rebounding will definitely help when we get some additional bodies at semester. Until that time we need to keep working on rebounding, we can't be out rebounded by 20 and win a lot of games."

On the play of Mark Shepherd:
"I thought Mark did a great job considering it's really his first action in a couple years. He played 36 minutes and hopefully he can work with Tommy (Swanson) and keep him out of foul trouble. He does a good job of staying out of foul trouble and plays hard. I am very proud of the progress he has made."

Aaron Bruce, Baylor

On how the team shot tonight:
"It is a little frustrating, but I guess it is something that we need to work on more. The good thing is we have a great group of guys who are willing to work on it. We will work on some things and come back stronger after break."
