Women's Golf Moves Up to 7th at Dick McGuire

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Baylor freshman Sian Reddick (Folkestone, England) shot an even-par 73 and is tied for 12th in her first-ever collegiate tournament after the second round of the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational Tuesday at the University of New Mexico's 6,069-yard, par-73 Championship Course.

Reddick continued her up and down play with five birdies and five bogeys in the second round, after four birdies and six bogeys in the first. Reddick caught fire at the seventh hole then birdied eight, nine and 10.

Junior Meredith Jones (Eugene, Ore.) is tied for 15th after a 78. Jones had 14 pars, giving her a total of 30 for the tournament. Junior Josefin Svenningsson (Gislaved, Sweden) matched her first-round total with a 76 and is tied for 32nd. Svenningsson had birdies at the second hole, nine and 18.

Sophomore Anna Rehnholm (Karlskrona, Sweden) also matched her first-round total with a 77, which included 14 pars, and is tied for 45th. Junior Sherry Summers (Montgomery, Texas) got off to a good start, but had six-straight bogeys on the back nine to finish with an 80 and is tied for 66th. Freshman Stephanie Waters (Austin, Texas), competing as an individual, shot an 81.

Georgia continues to lead the tournament at 586 (287-299), two strokes ahead of host New Mexico at 588 (292-296). Oklahoma State's Karin Sjodin shot a 69 to take over the lead at 140, one stroke ahead of Georgia's Kelly Froelich at 141 (68-73) and three ahead of teammate Annie Thurman at 143 (73-70).
