Men's Tennis Falls in ITA Championships

WACO, Texas - Baylor's Michal Kokta and Matija Zgaga fell in qualifying round action today at the ITA Polo Ralph Lauren All-American Tennis Championships hosted by the University of Tulsa at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center in Tulsa, Okla.

The 14th seeded Kokta was defeated by Louisville's Clark Jeremy in a two-set match 6-4, 6-3. Zgaga was also defeated in two-sets by Igarashi Eidy of Old Dominion University 7-6(4), 6-3.

Although both players were eliminated, Baylor is not out of the tournament. Lars Poerschke received an automatic bye into the main draw of singles action and will begin play on Thursday. Also, the doubles team of Poerschke and Zgaga will compete in main draw doubles with first round action also beginning on Thursday.
