WACO, Texas - Baylor's Lars Poerschke took a win in the round of 16 today at the Polo Ralph Lauren ITA All-American in Tulsa, Okla. to advance into the quarterfinals but the doubles team of Poerschke and Matija Zgaga were eliminated in the quarterfinal round.
Poerschke earned a win over UCLA's Ben Kohlloeffel in a two-set 7-5, 6-4 decision to advance from the round of 16 today into quarterfinal action. Poerschke will face Texas A&M's Jerry Makowski in the quarterfinals tomorrow.
In doubles play, Poerschke and Zgaga started off the day with a win in the round of 16 over Treat Huey and Somdev Devverman in a 9-7 match but then fell to Stanford's KC Corkery and Pade James 8-2 in the quarterfinal round.
Quarterfinal singles action will begin at 10 a.m. tomorrow.
