Baylor hosts its fourth straight ranked opponent as the Bears take on top-ranked Nebraska Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the Ferrell Center.

The Bears have lost four in a row after a four-match winning streak, while the Cornhuskers are undefeated this season and are the unanimous No. 1 for the first time this season after receiving all 60 votes in the CSTV/AVCA Coaches Poll released Monday. Baylor was swept by Colorado at home Saturday, while Nebraska rallied from down 2-0 to clip No. 12 Missouri in Lincoln Sunday.

Baylor is led by junior outside hitter Nicole LeBlanc, who ranks among the top 15 in the Big 12 with 3.57 kills and 2.83 digs per game. Sophomore Kristen Schramek ranks seventh in the Big 12 with 3.62 digs per game, while junior middle blocker Desiree Guilliard-Young ranks second in the league with 1.81 blocks per game in conference matches only. Wednesday is also senior outside hitter Kelly Spriggs' 22nd birthday.

Nebraska is led by sophomore Sarah Pavan, who ranks seventh in the Big 12 with 3.80 kills and eighth with 1.29 blocks per game. Christina Houghtelling averages 3.60 kills and 2.34 digs per game, while Jordan Larson averages 3.05 kills and 2.83 digs per game. Jennifer Saleaumua leads the team and ranks fifth in the Big 12 with 3.87 digs per game, while Melissa Elmer leads the conference with 2.27 blocks per game.

Baylor has never beaten Nebraska as the Cornhuskers lead the all-time series 20-0. Nebraska also holds a 9-0 mark in Waco and is the only team the Bears have faced more than 10 times and never beaten. The Cornhuskers won the last meeting, 3-0, in Lincoln Oct. 1.

The Bears return to action when they travel to face Oklahoma Saturday at 7 p.m. at McCasland Field House in Norman, Okla.
