Volleyball Faces No. 25 Kansas State in Final Road Match

Baylor looks to snap a six-match losing streak in its final road match of the season as it faces No. 25 Kansas State Wednesday at 7 p.m. at Ahearn Fieldhouse in Manhattan, Kan.

The Bears lost in four games at Oklahoma Saturday, while the Wildcats lost to top-ranked Nebraska in four at home.

Baylor is led by junior outside hitter Nicole LeBlanc, who ranks among the league leaders with 3.46 kills per game and 2.85 digs per game, and senior middle blocker Stella Odion, who ranks 10th in the conference with a .310 hitting percentage and 13th with 1.15 blocks per game. Sophomore Kristen Schramek ranks eighth in the Big 12 with 3.46 digs per game, and junior middle blocker Desiree Guilliard-Young ranks second with 1.78 blocks per game in conference matches only.

Kansas State is led by Agata Reznde, who ranks eighth in the Big 12 with 3.78 kills per game, and Sandy Werner, who ranks 14th with 3.34 kills per game. Angie Lastra ranks third in the Big 12 with 4.05 digs per game, while Joy Hamlin ranks fifth with 1.41 blocks per game.

Kansas State leads the all-time series against Baylor, 15-5, including an 8-2 mark in Manhattan...The Wildcats have won the last four meetings after the Bears downed the then-No. 9 team in the country for the biggest upset in program history Sept. 24, 2003...Kansas State rallied from a 2-0 deficit and a seven-point deficit in game three to beat the Bears in five games in this year's previous meeting Oct. 15 in Waco.

The Bears return to action for the season finale as they host Texas Tech on Senior Night Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Ferrell Center. It will be the final match for Odion, setter Emily Huston, defensive specialist Maggie Chlebana and outside hitters Melanie Hamerly and Kelly Spriggs.
