The Baylor women's golf team shot a 292 for a 54-hole total of 892 to finish third at the Central District Invitational hosted by Michigan State at the 6,099-yard, par-72 River Wilderness Golf Club.
Freshman Sian Reddick (Folkestone, England) led the Bears by tying for fourth with scores of 72-73-72 (218). Junior Meredith Jones (Eugene, Ore.) had an outstanding tournament, shooting a 74 in each round. Sophomore Anna Rehnholm (Karlskrona, Sweden) shot 76-77-72 (225) to tie for 19th.
Junior Josefin Svenningsson (Gislaved, Sweden) tied for 36th, shooting 77-75-78 (230), while junior Sherry Summers (Montgomery, Texas) finished tied for 50th, with scores of 81-74-80 (235).
Missouri shot a 879 to lead the overall team standings by two strokes over Arkansas and 13 strokes over Baylor. Arkansas' Stacy Lewis (72-70- 74=216) and Michigan's Amy Schmucker (74-72-70=216) tied for individual medalist honors.
The Bears return to action Monday, Feb. 28 at the "Mo"Morial Invitational hosted by Texas A&M at The Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas.
