BAYLOR TEAM NOTES

  • Baylor opponents have shot 62.3% (124-of-149) over the last four games. The Bears are now 1-29 under Scott Drew when allowing opponents to shoot 50% or better from the field. The Cyclones 58.0% shooting was the highest surrendered by the Bears in Big 12 Tournament play.
  • Aaron Bruce led the Bears with 12 points, the lowest output by a Bear leading scorer in Big 12 Tournament play (Brian Skinner, 13 vs. Nebraska 1998).

BAYLOR INDIVIDUAL NOTES

  • With 12 points today, freshman Aaron Bruce scored 509 on the season and moves into first place on the Baylor freshman scoring chart (Lawrence Roberts, 498 points in 2001-02). This total is also the second best by a freshman in the Big 12 Conference. Only ISU's Curtis Stinson (534 in 2003-04) was more prolific.
  • Bruce finishes the season averaging 18.2 ppg. This is the highest season scoring average for a Bear since Aundre Branch led the 1994-95 Bears with 21.7 ppg. Bruce's 509 points are also the most scored in a season by a Bear since Branch's 608 in 1994-95.
  • Bruce has now made a three-pointer in 25 consecutive games this season. Tevis Stukes made a three in each game (29) of the 1999-2000 season, the only better streak by a Bear.
  • Bruce's two three-pointers against the Cyclones give him 69 on the year, the fourth best campaign by a Big 12 freshman and the sixth-best single season mark in Baylor history.
  • Bruce has now dished out 105 assists for the season. He handed out at least two assists in 23 of 28 games this season.
  • In the three games back from an injury, Tommy Swanson has averaged 13.0 ppg.
  • Patrick Fields has now scored in double figures in five consecutive games averaging 13.4 over that stretch. Fields finished the season with 310 points (11.1 ppg). He finishes the season having scored in double figures on 19 ocassions.
  • Tim Bush finished the season with 304 points (10.9 ppg).
  • Bear senior Ryan Pryor scored a career-high six points in the final game of his Baylor career.
  • Baylor freshman Hall Henderson matched his career high with three points today.
