The Baylor volleyball team traveled to Las Vegas April 14-17 to play in one its four spring tournaments. The team won the tournament over UC-Riverside, UNLV and the UNLV alumni team, behind the solid play of juniors Kelly Spriggs and Emily Huston and sophomore Desiree Guilliard-Young.
Redshirt freshman libero Kristen Schramek describes some of the highlights of their "Night on the Town."
It was Friday and we had just finished practicing in the morning, so we had some free time. We were leaving our hotel, The Excaliber (the one that looks like a castle in the photo) and we stopped in front of New York, New York.
We went shopping and walking around the strip and we posed with an Elvis impersonator - It was awesome! He was even talking like him, too. We were shopping in the Aladdin and we thought the wreaths were pretty. We were little princesses.
We got down to business and played on Saturday, though, and ended up winning the tournament. Yeah! Hope you enjoy the pics.
