WACO, Texas (AP) - A halftime pep talk was all Bernice Mosby needed to lead No. 15 Baylor to victory.

After scoring nine points in the first half, Mosby finished with 21 points and 17 rebounds in a 64-60 victory over No. 9 LSU on Tuesday night.

Baylor coach Kim Mulkey told her players at halftime that LSU was playing harder, and a little extra effort might go a long way.

"She (Mulkey) said LSU was giving more effort than us," Mosby said. "She said we had to give more, and that's what we did."

Danielle Wilson added 11 points and 10 rebounds for the Lady Bears (4-1), who outrebounded the Lady Tigers 53-31.

Baylor opened the second half with a 9-2 run to erase a 28-26 halftime deficit and move in front 35-30.

"We battled and battled and battled," Mulkey said. "There's a lot of players on that floor for LSU who have been to a Final Four. They (Baylor) want to compete with that type of team, and we did tonight."

LSU center Sylvia Fowles only played 17 minutes because of foul trouble and finished with 14 points. She drew her fourth foul with 11:44 remaining and did return until the 4:48 mark.

"I was disappointed in myself," Fowles said. "I let my team down in a way I couldn't control it."

Erica White scored 20 points for the Lady Tigers (5-1), who went 2-for-17 from 3-point range.

RaShonta LeBlanc's three-point play gave the Lady Tigers a 26-20 lead with just under 4 minutes left in the first half. Baylor scored six straight points before LeBlanc scored to put LSU in front again.
