WACO, Texas - Baylor senior right-side hitter Nicole LeBlanc (Tampa, Fla.) was named to the ESPN The Magazine/CoSIDA Academic All-District VI second team for the second time in her career, the College Sports Information Directors of America announced Thursday.
LeBlanc leads the Bears with 3.44 kills per game and ranks second on the team with 3.10 digs per game. She has started all 125 matches of her career and is one of only six Baylor players in history with 1,000 kills and 1,000 digs for her career. She ranks sixth all-time in kills with 1,364 and 10th all-time with 1,079 digs.
LeBlanc earned academic all-district honors as a sophomore and has been named to the Academic All-Big 12 squad each of the last two season. She has also been named to the Big 12 Commissioner's Honor Roll four times and earned a perfect 4.0 GPA in the spring.
A social work major, LeBlanc was nominated with a 3.42 cumulative GPA.
