WACO, Texas - The Baylor Lady Bears basketball team delivered over 100 teddy bears from the First National Bank McGregor/South Bosque Lady Bears Care Bear Drive to Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center on Thursday.
At the Lady Bear's game Wednesday night, fans received half off their admission price by donating a new teddy bear to the bear drive. Lady Bear fans donated over 100 teddy bears to the drive.
The team members visited children staying in Kidsville, a children's inpatient unit at Hillcrest as well as the newborn nursery.
"We were able to bring a lot of smiles to the children's faces and hopefully, we brightened some lives," said senior tri-captain Bernice Mosby. "I know we were all deeply touched by the experience."
